Language testing and development of programsThe The Academy offers consulting and advisory services to companies that want to implement English language training programs. This service includes the analysis of goals and needs that the company and the candidates have, the proficiency level of spoken and written language of candidates, and the ideal program parameters for each level. At first, the The Academy holds an interview with the company (HR or departments involved) and applies proficiency level tests, both of spoken and written English. Following that, we analyze the operational and linguistic needs of each candidate. Then, we assess students from time to time to check their development and the need to introduce changes in the program. The first step on identifying students’ needs is to check their proficiency level, which can be done through a written test and a spoken interview. Interviews are carried out with students and the departments involved (training, HR or senior managers). Based on the test results and information gathered in the interviews, we can outline students’ proficiency levels, in addition to their needs and goals. Later on, the program coordinator designs a course tailored for each student or group of students, taking into consideration the English proficiency level and the information gathered in the interviews. Among the information gathered are: need of enhancing written language skills, choice of British of American English, English for business or for other purposes, etc. The program is thus prepared by selecting suitable textbooks and teaching aids. Instructors receive all materials and report back to the program coordinator every 15 teaching hours. This allows us to assess the course on an ongoing basis and changes can be implemented if necessary. Headhunting servicesThe The Academy also provides your company with headhunting and selection services for qualified candidates who must be proficient in English. These services range from the preparation and conduction of English proficiency tests to the issuance of result reports. These tests can be used to select or outplace current employees.
